Sitting on Facebook watching a group of artist from Portland Oregon do there thing in New York is always awesome to watch! Yes i’m talking bout JusW!ld, Kanide-Is and Roulette Delgato! From Roulette Delgato doing his first run way as a model for fashion week in New York City to performing at fashion week! As well as JusW!ld & Kanide-Is dropping a new song live from Time Square. This team has been grinding, Oh and did I mention photo shoots as well? So I had to reach out to MR. Cigarettes & frappuccinos himself about the newest release with him & JusW!ld

Q:
What was the inspiration behind this song?

A:
Waiting on You was a call from the heart to a love that never returned. A wish that what was could be again. We’ve all been there. Some of us are still there.. listening to Aerosmith “Don’t Know What you Got” to get through.

Q:
What have you been doing to keep busy as an artist during covid?

A:
From the start of Covid we were forced into a battle of more importance than many in our lives. Black Lives. When we realized we’ve been missing the truth of this country for so long. During covid the team took the risk of the pandemic and decided a fight for justice was much more important. We took every opportunity to support the BLM shows and events and were blessed to use our content to push the truth to the forefront. The shows never stopped, the networking never stopped, the music continued to flow.

Q:
When covid is over and it’s safe, are you eager to get back on stage?

A:
The stage is my home. Take me home.

Q:
How was your time in New York?

A:
New York was an eye opening, Earth shattering experience. From being with my best friends for Roulettes first fashion show in NY, to JusW!lds and my release of Nights Like These in Times Square. To a 6 professional photo shoot in East Brooklyn. We created a position in NYC for ourselves. Expect to see us here every February.

Q:
Can we expect more music soon?

A:
As opposed to the beautiful Waiting On You ft Maxx V Payne (My actual brother. Like.. we’re forced to love each other because momma said so 26 years ago brother.) We also dropped “Nights Like These” with JusWild (also my brother but he has a different momma and pops) on Valentine’s Day. For new music, Roulette and I have “En Mi Mente” coming out soon. Also working on a new track with an Artist from Maryland. Moves on moves.

Q:
What are some of your all time favorite artist?

A:
Ne-Yo has always been a song writing inspiration to me. A God amongst the regulars. Saint Jhn is a recent artist to make his name big but he is absolutely one of my tops. Also for his songwriting and vibe-smithing.

Q:
What is your dream collab?

A:
Tinashe. Imma collab with her on a wedding one day And on an Ep. #goals.

Q:
What’s next? Networking. Pushing the new releases. Learning where my fanbase is and creating the strongest R&B/Pop/Indie sound and camp in all of Portland.

P.S. Finally a great big Thank you, we’re proud of you Skyler Ray. You’re always doing big things and you continue to extend support and love to those around you. Shout out P-Town media for keeping the city up to date on the Gods that roam our streets.
