Having already appeared on the Air Force 1 and Blazer Mid — and being part of an extensive flora collection — it should come as no surprise that there’s another pomegranate-popped Nike on the way. This time it’s the Nike Daybreak Type “Pomegreanate” that’s appeared, and like the aforementioned Blazer and AF!, it arrives in an identical theme.
The pair honors the humble fruit which serves as many things in Asian culture; It’s the emblem of the tenth month of the traditional calendar and the sixth of the lunar calendar; its decorations are often gifted as a traditional wedding present, and its touted by Buddha as a symbol of fertility. It’s once again depicted on the tongue through incredibly detailed needlework — another tradition of Asia – set against an all-black canvas base. Bright whites come into play at the laces and midsoles for a striking contrast, while the pack-specific cinder grit outsole rests beneath. Tan canvas Checks and rear overlays arrive in-line with previous pars, as to does a panel of cork in the rear, this one a little more excessively sized.
A release date for the Nike Daybreak Type “Pomegranate” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see these hit stores over the next few months. Until more news arrives, you can enjoy a first look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for further updates.
