We need Black (and other POC) boys age 7-11 to audition for a speaking role in the short film “Forbidden Forest.” We’re centering Black kids, but would also love to consider other kids who are People of Color. We’ll be casting two kids for this, both speaking roles.
We’re looking for kids who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color), are comfortable on camera, and are interested in acting! No acting experience required.
Pay is $150/day for 1 day of work in Portland, OR between March 22- Apr 2. Non-Union. Must live in Oregon/Washington to apply.
FILM SUMMARY: Two restless boys meet by chance in a wooded area at the edge of town. The dynamic of their playful interactions become a microcosm of the tensions driven through society during the pandemic. The forest itself prevails in this brief but timely meditation on friendship, youth and class divisions.
