Nike Sportswear has just tacked on a second option to its New Era-inspired footwear capsule, with this Nike Air Force 1 Low EMB “Spurs” surfacing mere moments after the Lakers-themed Nike Dunk High.
Like the accompanying Dunk, this Air Force 1 is also fitted with thick twill akin to that seen on New Era caps. In fact, there appears to be an overarching headwear theme for the release, with retro sportswear tongue tags, and even “One Size Fits Most” labeling on the green insoles — a color oft used on the underside of a cap’s bill. Unlike the Dunk, though, this pair does not approach the classic Spurs typeface at the ankle embroidery, instead opting for a simple block lettering. To link into the franchise them, the Swoosh deliver a monochromatic palette that could easily double-up as a Raiders colorway (but give the shoe’s history with Hoops, we’re labeling it “Spurs”)
