Whats goodie world? I just landed back in Portland Oregon. It was a fun time in Maui Hawaii. I enjoyed myself. But that’s not why i’m here today. My Man VaughnBornFamous dropped a dope project. I had it on repeat it the entire way back. Without a doubt I bet all my chips on this artist. He is next to blow. From the sound, Content, hooks and lyrics. My man does not miss! Not only did VaughBornFamous drop “The Art of Love” but he dropped “Phoenix Falling: Arrival” . Thats right Two projects the same day! Is there anything this man cant do?
Q:Whats the name of your newest project?
A:The name of my newest project is Phoenix Falling: Arrival (The Lost Tapes). I recorded the whole project in Arizona with the best engineers and producers in the Phoenix. I was just coming from New York to the west coast for the first time. I was finding my way and ended up finding a new sound. These were the songs I recorded in Phoenix before I made way to California and became VaughnBornFamous. So the Phoenix is Falling is my rebirth so to speak. True/Recorded evidence of my Arrival.
Q:Whats your favorite track on it, and why?
A:My favorite track on the project would be “Arrival”. “Might be a fallen phoenix, when you rise it’s your world.”” A Phoenix is Falling” – ArrivalThere’s so much truth and power in this one. If you listen close I dropped a lot of gems for the audience.
Q:How long have you been doing music?
A:I have been writing music since i was 12 years old. Never took it seriously until I was old enough to battle in basements of New York City. That world of music is very different to where Born Famous is today. My music was’nt structured for songs back then. I really got into the craft and took it somewhere else in the last year I would say. So it feels like only a year that i’ve been making “real music”.
Q:You recently performed in Portland, tell us about it.
A:I performed in Portland and it was great! I worked alongside Portland artist Skyler Ray and we gave a great show. The city has such a vibe! I got to meet Portland artists doing their thing which is always inspiring. I had an amazing opportunity to do a video while there and took advantage of such a cool city and all the great people of Portland. The video is called “Freakin’ Out” and debuts on Memorial Day. I can’t wait for the world to see the performance and what we put together for the city.
Q:What are your proudest moments in your musical career?
A:Proudest Moments. I could say Drifter hitting 50k streams in a short three months. Maybe even the fact that in my first four months of doing Pop-Rock, I’ve already released more than thirty songs with a combined 400k streams. (JAN-APR) But, in all honesty the numbers don’t matter in comparison to the reminder of why I work so hard. So my proudest moments come from gaining the hearts and ears of new fans and Born Famers!
Q:Who are some of your favorite artists?
A:”Im my favorite artist. I had some, but then I out worked them.” I realized this after all the stuff that was happening last year (2020). I felt like I was the only person to release a song about multiple social issues the next day. My favorite artists (at that time) were quarantined with ample time and never spoke up.
Q:If you could sing a song with any artist in the world dead or alive, who would it be?
A:If I could do a song with any artist it would be Bruce Springstein. We are both born in New Jersey with a dream and passion for guitars and rock music. Plus it would definitely be legendary. LOL
Q:What’s next for VaughnBornFamous?
A:Next for VaughnBornFamous? What isnt next? New album and three videos coming by June. Memorial day you can expect “Freaking Out” and my next album titled “Born Famous” that same weekend. Recording more music and making my summer album perfect has been my everyday task lately. (No Release Yet)Feature Video::https://youtu.be/TxyNHSdXSkM
|BornFamous’s transition from the streets and trenches of the East Coast, to the sandy surf shores of California, is all documented through the expression of his music. He is paving the way for a new sound in the Pop Rock culture. Determined enough to be Born Famous, and die chasing a dream. His first commercial album, “Method to Madness” has no release date.|
