I hope you’re having a great summer. My mental space has been filled so much that I almost forgot about this month’s Christian rap article. Once I sat and thought, it was easy for me to choose. You see, in these times when my brain seems to be on overload, I like to listen to good hip-hop. So here are some new additions to my library. Enjoy!
After just recently changing his alias and his focus, Godina is honed in on spreading hope. He doesn’t have much out, but just recently dropped singles with Nu Tone and Red Tips respectively. Follow him on IG where he stays posting on the daily, and check out his newest songs on Spotify.
First time I heard Paparzyi was on his “day-by-day” track last year. He just released his album Grey Ave in April, and it really bangs. I’m stoked to hear more from him in the future. Paparzyi on Spotify
Davecreates has been around for a minute. I actually remember him submitting songs to Newh2o back in the day. I really appreciate the textures and styles he throws out in his music. He’s a UK artist that’s okay with coloring outside of the lines, and I think it’s dope. davecreates on Spotify
This Texas youth pastor/rapper caught my attention with this following song pertaining to mental health awareness month in May. His vocal tone is dope and his messaging is air-tight. I’ve got a couple of his other songs on my playlists, and I always find myself going back to them. I think you will too. CJ Luckey on Spotify
