With Jordan Brand’s annual Tar Heels-themed releases continuing in 2022 with the just-revealed Air Jordan 6 “UNC”, another custom has been confirmed — the White/Color Air Jordan 13. From the Starfish to the Lucky Green, to the Hyper Royal and the Court Purple, we’ve sure had our fill of white leather, black pod, and color-suede Jordan 13 releases. But still, there’s more. Jordan Brand will once again be visiting the simple theme with the release of the Air Jordan 13 “University Gold” — aka the “White Melo”
The latter title is a reference to the never-released (B-Grade) Air Jordan 13 “Class of 2002” from 2018, of which the pair is expected to draw its inspiration. Sneakerfiles and zSneakerheadz have delivered the news of the pair, which is expected to arrive in the same vein as the aforementioned releases from the past few years. Given that information, we’ve headed into Photoshop to edit some images to give you a fairly good idea of what to expect early next year. At this stage, it’s not clear if the pair will feature University Red accents like Melo’s ill-fated release.
Sit tight for a first look, though, as it may differ slightly from this gallery of renders below, so make sure you’re following us on Twitter for developments.
This pair is just one of an extensive lineup of Air Jordan releases previewed for the months ahead, all of which you can check out here on our comprehensive list of Air Jordan Release Dates for 2021/22.
