As one of the industry’s providers of speculative mock-ups for Air Jordan leaks, we’ve built quite the back-catalog of colorways that have never eventuated. Often based merely upon color listings only, we’ve managed to carve out some pretty popular mock-ups, like this Air Jordan 9 “Hyper Royal”, and the never-released Air Jordan 1 High OG “Top Three 2.0”. Another of those was August’s Air Jordan 12 Utility, a release that was originally mocked as a straight-up regular release. With not much information to go off, we came up with this render — a black version of our White Infrared that blew up on Instagram back in 2018.
Delivering the same Infrared sole unit atop a black leather base with alternate white tongue branding and red Jumpmen, the pair remains relatively simple up-top to let the underfoot shine. The effect is enhanced by black-on-black laces, upper eyelets, midfoot brand panels and rear pulls to complete the design.
We’d love to see this (or something like it) hit retailers soon, and given the brand’s penchant for a returning Bulls thematic, it’s never out of the question. Take a look at our original speculative render of the colorway below, and if you’re looking for details on confirmed Air Jordan 12 drops, the OG “Playoffs” pair is set to return for its 25th anniversary in Spring 2022.
