HUNDREDS OF STUDENTS TO RECEIVE FREE BACKPACKS AND BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUPPLIES FROM ADIDAS AND OTHER MAJOR SPONSORS
As the new school year approaches, we can all agree that this year is different from any other year these students have seen. The National Retail Federation estimates that families will spend an average of $849 on back-to-school items- an amount many low-income families cannot afford.
Citywide is hosting a back-to-school drive to bridge the gap. Citywide has partnered with 2 local schools to make this event accessible to as many kids in need as possible. We will kick off our first annual event at Boise Eliot Elementary where we will provide backpacks, food, haircuts, and supplies to all kids that attend. We will wrap up at Centennial High School where we have teamed up with the school to select two classrooms to give back and provide supplies.
The founder of this organization says his mission for this event is to get the kids excited to return to school and hopefully give them the momentum to excel academically.
So far, we have received over 150 backpacks from Adidas and many other sponsors in the community have also donated supplies. We are still accepting school supplies and monetary donations to help reach our goal and ensure that EVERY kid that attends this event walks away with supplies. Anyone that would like to contribute to this back-to-school event is able to do so by venmo @cary-pratt, cash app $Clasikkuttz, or in person donations by contacting us via email: Consultingconnextions@
gmail.com or Phone: 503-885-4499.
Due to the high demand, this event is open to students of the selected schools only. You can sign up for hair cuts at your selected school. We welcome all and look forward to a brighter year.
